0ur students are licensed estheticians and cosmetologists, or on their way to becoming licensed, and they represent all ages. We welcome and celebrate students of every background, culture, and identity, because diversity makes our community stronger and enriches the learning experience for everyone. Many feel that their school did not fully prepare them for their profession, and they seek our guidance to take their skills to the next level. We ensure that our students feel heard, respected, and 100% confident in adding waxing services to their menu after taking any one of our classes in person or online.

The Hive was founded in 2023 by Ben and Rand, two of the founders of Honeycomb Wax Company. As Honeycomb grew, they noticed something interesting: when customers asked for help with the wax, the issue wasn’t the product, it was how it was being used.

The realization that most estheticians receive little to no practical wax training during their education sparked an idea for change. What if there was a place where beauty professionals could learn to wax with skill and confidence? To bring that vision to life, they teamed up with six of Honeycomb’s top ambassadors to create The Hive’s first 2-Day Waxing Bootcamp. 

In 2024, Annie, Director of Education, and Rachel, Fractional CEO, joined the team to grow the Hive into a thriving community of educators, students, and beauty professionals across the country. Their mission is simple: bring people together to Teach, Learn, and Earn.Today, Hive Beauty Education continues to grow, offering hands-on and online classes that help professionals master their craft, boost confidence, and level up their careers.
