The Hive was founded in 2023 by Ben and Rand, two of the founders of Honeycomb Wax Company. As Honeycomb grew, they noticed something interesting: when customers asked for help with the wax, the issue wasn’t the product, it was how it was being used.

The realization that most estheticians receive little to no practical wax training during their education sparked an idea for change. What if there was a place where beauty professionals could learn to wax with skill and confidence? To bring that vision to life, they teamed up with six of Honeycomb’s top ambassadors to create The Hive’s first 2-Day Waxing Bootcamp. 

In 2024, Annie, Director of Education, and Rachel, Fractional CEO, joined the team to grow the Hive into a thriving community of educators, students, and beauty professionals across the country.
